Manager of Leadership Annual Giving, Associates

The Manager of Leadership Annual Giving, Associates has a primary focus on direct contact with donors and prospects. This position is also responsible for overseeing acquisition initiatives for two of the Museum’s four collection-based affinity groups: photography (Focus), and contemporary (Collect). You will develop a dynamic strategy to identify and cultivate potential new members through targeted direct mail and events, working with a volunteer committee and alongside Development colleagues to reinforce and assist in these efforts.

Teaching Artists

For the Art Table program, the division of Education at the Philadelphia Museum of Art is placing two local artists at Broad Street Ministry to work collaboratively to lead a weekly 90-minute art class. Classes will be held on Tuesday afternoons from 1:00-2:30pm, onsite at Broad Street Ministry. Working together, the artists will design a unique studio experience for participants. The duration of on-site collaboration between artists will be 12-weeks total, March-May 2019. Artists will be paid for their participation, as well as receive free admission to the Museum for one year.

Andrew W. Mellon Postgraduate Fellowship in Costume and Textile Conservation

The Philadelphia Museum of Art is offering a two-year Andrew W. Mellon Postgraduate Fellowship in Costume and Textile Conservation, beginning September 1, 2019 and ending August 31, 2021. Working with the two staff costume and textile conservators in the state-of-the art laboratory, the Fellow will be involved in conservation of European and American costume, textiles and needlework as well as the museum’s extensive collections of South Asian and East Asian textiles, contemporary fiber, craft, traditional tapestry, and carpets. The Philadelphia Museum of Art announces a two-year (first year renewable) Curatorial Fellowship in Prints, Drawings, and Photographs. The fellowship provides firsthand experience with curatorial work in the graphic arts. Fellows participate in all activities of a large, active curatorial department with a collection of more than 150,000 works of art on paper, located in state-of-the art facilities.
