2008: Processing Frank Gehry
Collab held its Sixteenth Annual Student Design Competition at the Philadelphia Museum of Art on Monday, November 3, 2008, in conjunction with the Museum’s exhibition,
Frank O. Gehry: Design Process and the Lewis House, devoted to the architecture and design of Frank Gehry, Collab’s 2008 Design Excellence Award recipient. Students were asked to consider the way Frank Gehry experiments with forms and materials as part of his creative process.

- Lewis Wexler
Lewis Wexler is the owner of Wexler Gallery in Old City, specializing in decorative and fine art. A member of many professional organizations, Lewis has been a juror for the Philadelphia Craft Show, the Smithsonian Craft Show, and the Washington Craft Show.
- Anthony Bracali
Anthony Bracali is Principal of Friday Architects/Planners. Tony has served on the Board of the American Institute of Architects and as President of the Board of the Charter High School for Architecture & Design. He is the lead designer for the award-winning Paines Park skate park project in Philadelphia. Tony is also an adjunct professor at several universities.
- Jack Larimore
Jack Larimore is a furniture designer whose work bridges craft, art and design. Trained as a landscape architect, Jack creates multimedia works with a clear organic element. His work has been featured in numerous exhibitions and collections, including the Philadelphia Craft Show, Philadelphia Furniture and Furnishings Show, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
- Stephan Copeland
Stephan Copeland is an industrial designer and owner of Copeland Studio. Specializing in industrial design, the firm’s clients include Knoll, Flos, Steelcase and NASA, among others. Stephan’s award-winning designs include the Greyhound Cycle, a 3-wheel, arm-powered racing cycle.
- Linda O’Keeffe
Linda O’Keeffe is Creative Director for Metropolitan Home magazine, and the magazine’s former Director of Design and Architecture for 14 years. Linda is the author of the book SHOES, currently in its 17th edition and translated into 15 languages.
