The 2008 Enchanted Forest/Every Family Party was held on Saturday, November 15 and was a huge success with nearly 850 guests passing through the Museum’s doors to experience this night of family fun. This event, formerly known as the Enchanted Forest Party and the 11th celebration of this kind at the Museum, raised more than $75,000 in support of the Museum’s Division of Education. We thank our lead sponsor PNC and our numerous individual donors whose generosity made it possible for the Museum to introduce new ideas and include new friends in this year’s event.
We were pleased to also launch the Philadelphia Museum of Art’s first children’s book
A is for Art Museum on this night and to share this wonderful treasure, which takes readers on a whirlwind A-to-Z tour of the Museum’s collections, with such a diverse family audience. Funds raised from the Enchanted Forest/Every Family Party enable the Museum to distribute copies of A is for Art Museum to area pre-schools, community centers, and libraries, and also support early childhood education programs at the Museum. The Museum’s educational and community outreach programs touch—and often transform—the lives of more than 100,000 children and families annually. Learn more about the vast range of

The Enchanted Forest/Every Family Party is a wonderful way for children, parents, and grandparents to kick off the holiday season while enjoying together the treasures of the Museum and raising funds to support the Museum’s award-winning educational programs. This past year, an exciting alphabet hunt led guests in and out of the Museum’s inspiring galleries—from posing with ballerinas at “D is for Dancer” to the armor demonstration at “H is for Helmet” and the “S is for Sunflower” hat-making, works of art came alive for each child. Families enjoyed the lively dancing in the Great Stair Hall and an entertaining finale reading of
A is for Art Museum.
